About us
All sports and group activity can help reduce isolation and improve mental health, but tennis is particularly well placed to help – it’s a sport that anyone can play, can be adapted for any level of ability, impairment or disability and is complemented by a very beneficial social element.
The Club runs a number of free community tennis programs with accredited professional coaches to encourage all ages and abilities to start and keep pIaying tennis.
This includes family and adult coaching days, support for Liss Infants, Juniors and Greatham schools' sports weeks and taster sessions for Liss Cubs and Brownies.
The club also runs an award winning "I Play 30" disability program . This is a free tennis activity programme for children at Liss Infants School SEN unit. Started in April 2021, each session is incorporated into the school day and is run by a qualified club coach and supported by teachers and club volunteers.
All income from this Lottery will be used by the Tennis Club to help fund this and other community outreach programmes providing free tennis sessions at the club and in schools in Liss and Greatham.
Newman Collard Tennis Club is a small, familiy-orientated village club in Liss.
Please support us so we can help more people play more tennis.
